Class,
I am in the process of updating the presentations. If you have signed up, I will add you to my list and send out a revised master list this next week. You can sign up for any essay except the chapter on Abortion. We already have all the presenters, except by Patrick Lee and Robert George. In lieu of this presentation, post two observations you had about the reading (50-100 words). The evaluation links can be found on the Discussions page right beneath each essay title.
Presenters, please have your essays up by next Monday noon.
Clarification: Some have asked if all D2L responses are due by Friday or Sunday. I wrote Friday on the syllabus so a student could gauge via a typical academic week the workload. But all D2L assignments are actually due no later than Sunday of that week, midnight. Remember I do not accept late work, so feel free to work ahead, but not late. If you are working on your presentation, you may post it early (your classmates will love you). But do not post it late. I am going to throw up on Week Two a sample of a student presentation that I hope will give you an idea of how some students tackle them. Remember, the five pieces are what we will be evaluating (summary, analysis, opinion, questions, and style & grammar). But apart from meeting these components, feel free to be as individualist or creative as you are. If a video that you have prepared does this best, go for it. If a website you designed gets the point across, great. Maybe a haiku you wrote has some layers that creatively spin your point. Be you, but I will put a student sample from another course as a guide.
